CAD Technician
Primary responsibilities will be using SolidWorks, Inventor or Solid Edge software either at OneCAD's offices or on-site for OneCAD's clients.
Experience
Experience in mechanical engineering / manufacturing environment with an aptitude for 3D CAD design, previous Solidworks experience is required. Suitable for those with mechanical engineering degrees or diplomas who already have previous experience in an engineering design office or with a manufacturer.
Requirements
Candidates will be assessed on the following skills:
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor or Solid Edge).
- Any experience with downstream applications (CAM, FEA, PDM...) is a plus.
- 2-D detail drafting experience (creating detailed drawings from models)
- Excellent analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of engineering and mechanical design processes and terms.
- Understanding of 3D Solid Modeling processes.
- Mechanical design, industrial design or tooling design experiences a plus.
- Superb interpersonal skills and team player mentality.
- Presents a professional image and comes across as confident and credible.
- Excellent time management, written communication and organizational skills.
Junior Engineering Technologist
Ideally suited for a new graduate of mechanical engineeirng either at the university or college technologist level who have a real aptitude for 3D CAD design. Primary responsibilites will be using CAD software at OneCAD offices under direction of OneCAD's engineering manager. Previous SolidWorks, Inventor or Solid Edge experience will be an asset. Additional training will be provided by OneCAD Solutions.
Requirements
(Similar to the above CAD Technician but at an entry level)
Candidates will be assessed on the following skills:
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor or Solid Edge).
- Any experience with downstream applications (CAM, FEA, PDM...) is a plus.
- Some 2-D experience
- Good analytical and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of engineering and mechanical design processes and terms.
- Understanding of 3D Solid Modeling processes.
- Mechanical design, industrial design or tooling design experiences a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and team player mentality.
- Presents a professional image and comes across as confident and credible.
- Good time management, written communication and organizational skills.
