OneCAD Solutions Ltd. provides mechanical engineering contract design services, 3D CAD & 2D drafting, FEA & CFD analysis and reverse engineering.
OneCAD is authorized by the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario to offer professional engineering services.
We work with engineering and manufacturing companies on a project basis. Typically our clients call us when they have extra work on but it's not enough to be hiring on more full time staff or they need a small team to help but only for a short period of time.
In many cases they have us work on the 3D modeling or the detail drafting so that their own staff can concentrate on getting the design engineering done in order to meet their deadlines.
Our staff is available on-site or from our Markham, ON offices.
Our services are competitively priced, are delivered by our full-time staff and are scalable with respect to the level of expertise that is required for your project.
OneCAD provides services with all the major mid-range mechanical CAD systems.
OneCAD has the ability to quickly organize a team in order to complete projects in as short of time as possible.

Business History
OneCAD Solutions began operations in July, 2004 by our owner and President, Neil Thomas. It was originally started as a sales organization specializing in engineering CAD software, support services and training along with 3D printing (rapid prototyping) technology and print services.
OneCAD rapidly grew to be the most successful Canadian Solid Edge reseller at the time and was well-respected in the Solid Edge community for our customer service and training.
From the start, OneCAD also provided 3D CAD design and drafting services on a part-time basis. In January 2007, we added full-time staff for our design services area and during the summer of 2007 we transitioned our business from software and technology sales to concentrate only on design services. In September 2009, our first staff member obtained his Professional Engineer designation and subsequently OneCAD Solutions obtained its Certificate of Authorization from the Professional Engineers of Ontario so that OneCAD is authorized to offer professional engineering services.
Although the majority of our clients are in Ontario we also have clients in the Canadian Maritimes and in Western Canada. Our staff work from both our Markham, ON offices as well as on-site at our client’s locations. We have worked hard to develop and maintain an excellent reputation in our industry and we have plans to continue our growth.
Though OneCAD originally delivered to a niche market for Solid Edge CAD services, we also offer services for Solid Works, Inventor and AutoCAD, with Solid Works now being our #1 requirement.
Since 2007, OneCAD has been a proud and active member of the Organization of CANDU Industries (OCI) a business organization representing over 160 companies involved in the Canadian nuclear supply chain. We consider ourselves as a Tier 2/3 supplier to the nuclear industry in that we are supporting the other OCI members with their overflow design work.
With the growth and delivery of its mechanical engineering services for the solar industry, in February, 2011 OneCAD Solutions also became a member of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA).
In 2011, OneCAD has successfully rebounded from the recession to grow even larger than before as we have 20 technical staff available for our client's projects.
Also new in 2011, OneCAD now offers a competitive FEA / CFD Analysis Service targeted to those companies that have the technical expertise but not the software and the resources to solve the problem.
Management & Structure
Neil Thomas – President
Neil oversees the general operation, sales and growth of OneCAD including directly handling all of our major client relationships. Neil has successfully developed OneCAD from a 1 man operation in 2004 to a 20 person engineering company in 2011.
Neil has an innate love of technology and has been a 3D CAD Designer since 1996. He has built OneCAD with the sense of doing what's right for the client and with the determination that our clients must succeed before we do! Neil leads by example with a hands-on approach.
Paul Sesto – Business Manager
Paul gets new clients to OneCAD's front door. He is responsible for new business development, marketing & advertising and general administration. Paul has a B.Sc. and a B.A.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering). He ensures that everyone's questions get an answer since customer service is his #1 priority.
Grace Qin – Administrator
With an eye for detail and a keen business sense, Grace handles the accounting for OneCAD. The team can then concentrate delivering to our client’s technical needs. Grace has also taken on the responsiblies of human resources and is focused on building a strong OneCAD team. She has a B.Eng. (Chemical Engineering).
Peter Li – Engineering Manager
With his design work experience and quick study of new systems, Peter is the leader of our Design Services Group. Peter is responsible for managing our technical staff and for project management. He has both a mechanical engineering degree from Jilin University, China and a diploma in mechanical engineering design from Centennial College. Peter is currently pursuing his Master of Engineering (part-time) at Ryerson University and is an Engineer in Training (EIT) with the PEO
